Regularly, the IEEE Indonesia Section carries out series of technical seminars in cities and provinces in Indonesia. The purpose of this seminar is in harmony with the objectives of the IEEE; including to encourage efforts to spread science and technology, to open up improved academic communications in the regions, to introduce the organisation and its activities, as well as to listen to the concerns from the Indonesian engineers.
In the year 2010, the series of seminars being held include, among others:
- Opening the Gates to Fourth Generation (4G) Mobile Technologies
- Opening the Gates to Digital Television Technology & Business
- Opening the Gates to Future Electronic Payment & Transactions
The seminars are performed with the support of IEEE Indonesia Chapters, universities, research institutes, and business entities related to the theme of the seminars.
